AboutDare I Ask? is produced by the University of Western Sydney and BackgroundBoth the University of Western Sydney and Metro Screen are committed to fostering the involvement of community members through community television. Dare I Ask? is produced by a volunteer production crew and is broadcast on Sydney’s only community TV channel, TVS. The University of Western Sydney is committed to supporting TVS, of which it is a major stakeholder. Through the School of Communication Arts, UWS provides tertiary degrees in media and communications. Metro Screen, formerly Metro TV has been providing training and access to equipment since the 1980s. It was instrumental in setting up the first community television trials and is a now a leading digital media training organisation. Both UWS and Metro Screen are keen to revive the community television tradition in Sydney and offer people the chance to get involved with this new TV show. Dare I Ask?Dare I Ask? is a weekly half hour talk program which discusses a different topic each week. Three guests join our host in deliberating the designated topic. In 2009 our hosts Tim Brunero and Tilly Boleyn will present a mix up interesting topics and will get the conversations started. |
